Terms

Last updated: 10 August 2026

This page is a plain-language summary provided for transparency. It is not legal advice and does not create a contract. If you operate Teamly as a service for others, review it with your own legal counsel before relying on it.

Teamly is free, open-source software. These terms cover the Teamly software itself and the marketing website at askteamly.ai. They are written in plain language for transparency and are not a substitute for the software license.

License

The Teamly source code is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Your rights to use, modify, and redistribute the software are governed by that license, which is included in full in the repository. In particular, if you run a modified version of Teamly as a network service, the AGPL requires you to offer your users the corresponding source code.

No warranty

As stated in the license, the software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You run Teamly at your own risk.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the AI provider keys you connect and for complying with each provider's terms of service and usage limits. All usage costs on those keys are yours.
  • If you self-host, you are responsible for your deployment, its security, and the data it stores.
  • You agree not to use Teamly for unlawful purposes or in ways that violate the rights of others.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Teamly maintainers and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the software or the website.

The website

The marketing website is provided for information about the project. Its content may change at any time, and links to third-party sites are provided for convenience without endorsement.
